Cynthia Kirsan is an innovative and results-driven leader with over 40 years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Training. She is highly skilled in directing diverse teams to produce quality simulation and training products.
Cyndi excels at executive management. In 2023, she started SimSational Solutions. SimSational assists companies in expanding into the simulation and training market space. Her expertise includes market analysis, strategic planning and development, proposal development, teaming strategies, organizational process development, and business development. She served as Vice President and General Manager for Saab Defense and Security USA, Training and Simulation. She worked closely with Saab Management, including corporate headquarters in Sweden, to set strategy, create budgets, win contracts, and perform due diligence for potential mergers and acquisitions. She was also responsible for hiring senior staff and supervising department managers.
Cyndi served as Director of Business Development for several prominent companies, including General Dynamics, Command Post Technologies, MAK Technologies, and Ravenswood Solutions. As a Business Development Director, she was responsible for executing all activities to identify and pursue new business aligned with corporate strategies. She managed corporate business development processes and personnel to include marketing, communications, proposals, tradeshows, and all strategic and tactical business development activities. She developed and executed campaigns to increase business in domestic and international markets.
Cyndi also has Program Management and Systems Engineering experience. She managed all program activities, ensuring work was delivered on time and within budget. She managed a team of 45 engineers and implemented a new Risk Management process and Tool, which received a corporate innovation award. Cyndi played a major role as an F-22 Capture Manager for 3 Pilot and 7 Maintenance trainers. She won both pursuits with a revenue value of over $100M.
Cyndi holds an MBA from Le Tourneau University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University. She is certified as a Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional (CMSP) and Program Management Professional (PMP). She also served as the Chairman of the NTSA Executive Committee and as a National Defense Industrial Association board member for the Central Florida and National boards. Cyndi was a member of Women in Defense from 2010-2020.
