Frank Sturek is Proven leader and executive who understands how to build high-performing teams to deliver value. He is highly knowledgeable and experienced in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Business Development, New Business Capture, Operations, Profit and Loss, and growing Government Contracting (GovCons) businesses. He has successful Business Development and Capture experience with three multi-billion dollar Defense Companies; Northrop Grumman, Engility and Alion Science and Technology, and he most recently grew two IT Services small business GovCons as the Senior Executive.
He recently held the position of President at SkyePoint Decisions, Inc. where he was responsible for business growth, strategy, operations, and the company’s business success. This included managing and developing current capabilities and winning new prime contracts focused on client cybersecurity and IT challenges. Under his leadership SkyePoint grew from $18M in annual revenue with 90 employees to $31.5M in annual revenue with more than 170 employees in two and a half years.
Prior to SkyePoint Decisions, Frank was the Chief Growth Officer at Axiologic Solutions responsible for managing new business growth. He directed the growth of the IT Services and Systems Engineering small business firm from $6.5M to $52M in annual revenue in a little less than three years . Prior to working at Axiologic, he served as Vice President of Business Development at Alion Science and Technology responsible for new business growth in Army and Marine Corps Training, Modeling and Simulation, and Training Systems Modernization. Before Alion Science and Technology, he worked for Engility Corporation and at Northrop Grumman Corporation in both Business Development and Program Management roles.
Additionally, Frank’s experience includes 21 years of active service as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army that included assignments in Germany, Fort Bragg, West Point, Fort Campbell, Iraq, Fort Polk, Afghanistan, and the Pentagon. Frank was recognized as a top performer throughout his military career with numerous awards including two Bronze Star Medals, the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Ranger Tab, and Senior Parachutist Wings. He still currently serves in a volunteer capacity as the Honorary Colonel of the US Army’s 4th Infantry Regiment.
Frank is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (West Point) where he earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He earned an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida and later taught Systems Engineering at the United States Military Academy as an assistant professor. He is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Small and Emerging Contractor Advisory Forum (SECAF), an Industry Advocacy Organization focused on supporting the growth and success of small business Government Contractors (GovCons).
