Kristen is a Senior Consultant and lead for Media Relations within TMST. Experienced in all facets of Public Relations she most often consults for TMST for Military Public Affairs. Kristen is also the president of KAMCOM Media.
After serving as one of the U.S. Army’s most respected public affairs officers, Kristen McCullough pursued her business acumen and started a company. KAMCOM Media, a full-service public relations firm, specializes in marketing, advertising, social media and executive communication.
Kristen provides strategic communications consultation to clients in the technology, medical and non-profit sector. Kristen credits her civil military experience with a strong ability to execute sound media relations and congressional affairs strategies. Kristen offers clients top-notch media training and interview skills, press contacts and news media engagements. She similarly provides clients with the comfort of sound crisis communication support, if the need arises. Kristen has extensive experience in congressional affairs, public policy and legislative strategy. Kristen also provides executive communication support: speechwriting, presentation building and employee engagement communication. She is well versed in search engine optimization, website content marketing and social media campaigns.
Prior to owning KAMCOM Media, Kristen served more than a decade as the public affairs officer for the U.S. Army PEO STRI. While there, she was the go-to source for media relations, congressional strategy, employee engagement, executive communications, community outreach, speechwriting and social media.
Before coming to PEO STRI, Kristen worked at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL, as a media relations strategist. She was responsible for executing advertising campaigns and crisis communications plans.
Kristen holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism and political science from the University of Miami. She also earned a master’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida. Kristen is a Major General Keith L. Ware Communications Award recipient, and a member of prominent organizations and committees in the Central Florida area.
