He is a former tactical commander and battlespace owner who commanded during operational deployments to Iraq. A proven leader with experience creating and developing effective cross-functional teams; extensive tactical, operational, joint, and multinational experience; broad military and civilian education; and professional certifications.
Chris’s last military duty was as a Program Manager, Engineering portfolio with US Army Forces Command. He advised the Command on all military engineering resource (Man/Train/Equip) requirements for 400 subordinate units comprised of +40,000 personnel, emphasizing organizational analysis, program resourcing, and fleet sustainment. He also supported crisis response and continuity of operations (COOP) planning and execution.
He is an exceptionally experienced leader who understands the importance of requirements definition, organizational effectiveness, and building cross-functional teams to achieve the best possible outcomes. Chris is a subject matter expert in the DoD budget process – PPBE.
Chris has extensive experience helping senior leaders develop strategy and operationalize their vision. Of note, he was a key contributor to the USINDOPACOM’s “Rebalance to the Pacific” with a special emphasis on resourcing construction requirements and integrating the Command’s contingency basing strategy to enhance DoD’s Global Defense Posture. His work on multiple four-star commands honed his skills in interfacing with the DoD, OSD, the Joint Staff, and Congress. He possesses a deep understanding of the importance of linking requirements to resourcing with an uncanny ability to develop cross-functional solutions quickly.
