Director of Communications

Areas of Expertise

As TMST’s Communications Director, Dave is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies. His duties include creating and maintaining all social media platforms, websites, collaborative partnership sites, newsletters, announcements, and promotional literature.  Additionally, he’s responsible for maintaining cybersecurity, administrative support, and maintenance for all of TMST’s digital sites.  Dave also has the responsibility as TMST’s senior representative for Intelligence modeling and simulations and Intelligence training,

Dave managed DoD’s largest Intelligence training simulation for over 19 years.  He excelled at maximizing team performance, risk mitigation, program funding, and exceeding expectations.  He has led both CONUS and OCONUS teams and is highly experienced in managing large fielded systems, total Program lifecycle support, classified system security requirements, and developing new systems.  He led a team in a complete technical rewrite of a major Intelligence training simulation.

Dave is skillfully experienced in Program funding, budget variances, financing, and procuring additional resources to meet fluctuating requirements.

As an Intelligence Officer, Dave served as an ISR manager at the Army Corps level, supporting US and NATO forces.

He also served as the ISR manager for various Special Operations units in Afghanistan.  He is expertly skilled and experienced in planning strategic and tactical ISR support and understands the importance of training for both peace and hostile operations.  Dave’s experiences instilled the vital importance of effective training and, in particular, the enhanced benefits of modeling and simulations and maximizing resources to improve outcomes. 

As a Business Developer and Proposal Support Manager, Dave is experienced in supporting large multi-corporation bids through single-task order opportunities.  He has also been responsible for maintaining programs well past original retirement through innovation and  cost-effective change,
