Martin is a retired Naval Officer and civil servant having spent twenty-two years of his thirty-three years dual-hatted. He excelled in both finding synergy through his Naval reserve career to sharpen his connection to the Warfighter and understanding of their requirements in his civilian carer. He brings this focus on requirements to his consulting activities. He strives to understand what you need and then through a disciplined engineering approach provides it.
Martin has tremendous experience, specifically in the LVC M&S community. He served as Director of Operations for PM TRASYS for three years and has over 7 years of experience managing technology development and transition activities sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the Joint IED Defeat Office (JIEDDO). He managed Marine Corps LVC initiation activities including the completion of analysis of alternatives (AoA) and material development decision (MDD) milestones.
Serving as a nuclear Submarine Officer and Watch Officer for USSOSOM during contingency operations, Martin has exceptional operational and technical experience. He understands the importance of applying optimal technical solutions to meet requirements. His ability to dive deep into requirements, analyze stated and implied tasks, quickly develop courses of action, and execute solutions is exceptional. This ability is enhanced by his key understanding of the importance of providing the right solutions in a timely manner.
He has a remarkable skill set and understanding of the government contracting process. Knowing the process from the “inside” viewpoint has proven highly advantageous in matching client opportunities with resources and providing streamlined efficiencies and cost savings.
