This Request for Information (RFI) initiates market research. The MRDS program will leverage commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items to the greatest extent practical. The Modular Remote Disassembly System (MRDS) will be comprised of COTS milling and drilling machines. The remaining MRDS components consist of items that enable the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician to operate milling and drilling machines remotely.
The Marine Corps estimates a buy of 25 MRDS. There is no expected release date for a Request for Proposal (RFP).
