Clay Edwards is a Senior Associate for TMST. Experienced in all facets of military training, he most often consults for live training, campaign planning, curriculum development, and Proposals. He is quite proficient on Color Teams and Staffing for Proposal Development.
Clay’s has 30 years of active duty Army service and 11 years as a contractor. His contractor positions include Deputy Division Manager, and the Portfolio and Program Manager for Veterans Administration contracts at Camber Corporation (4+ years). He also managed multiple other programs over a total of 7+ years at Camber. He served as a Group and Program Manager, as well as a training program developer for Northrop Grumman for over 3 years, working on Combat Training Center programs.
Before his retirement from the US Army in 2005, Clay served up through the rank of Colonel as an aviation and cavalry unit commander and staff officer, as well as the TRADOC Liaison Officer to French Army Aviation. He was the deputy brigade commander for the 21st Cavalry Brigade, the primary collective training unit for the Apache AH-64 and Kiowa Warrior OH-58D combat units for all three components of the Army force structure. Unit Training Programs filled a 10-month training calendar for these units.
His last Army assignment was the Acting CGSC Dean and Director of Command & General Staff School, Ft. Leavenworth. He served as Director of Combat Studies and Department of Military History for 5 years. He was a principal staff officer for Intermediate Level Education curriculum, and chaired or sat over 25 Masters Theses committees.
